Alex Rae

Alex joined Wise in June 2000 as a client services administrator. Ever dedicated to the business she became a financial planner, looking after a much loved client base. As Wise has grown, due to her experience and adaptability, she has naturally progressed into management. Employee engagement is at the heart of Alex’s day to day activities with her main objective being to ensure the future resilience and wellbeing of everyone here at Wise.

Alex holds a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and routinely attends a range of courses in business and human resource management.

Outside of Wise, Alex can regularly be seen chauffeuring her daughter to training sessions and competitions in a variety of sporting activities.

Amanda Sullivan

Amanda joined Wise Investment in 2004 as the company’s accounts controller, becoming our chief financial officer in 2015.  Day to day, Amanda oversees the company’s finances and provides monthly and yearly financial management information. A pivotal aspect of her role is implementing and managing the business budgetary policy and the strategic financial decisions of the business.

Prior to joining Wise, Amanda trained and worked in an accountancy practice. She has now amassed over twelve years in financial services and twenty years of financial management experience, working in various industries including IT, Design and Hospitality.

Outside of Wise, Amanda nurtures her creativity by drawing, painting and spending time with her daughter.

Financial Planning

Angus Aston

Angus joined Wise in March 2004 as a financial planner. He enjoys developing strong long-term relationships with clients, helping them plan for retirement and managing their investments. Angus particularly likes the technical challenges involved in pensions advice and inheritance tax planning.

Angus supervises and supports staff training, promoting best practice within the business, thus enhancing the capability of his colleagues. He works collectively with the board to develop business strategy and is instrumental in achieving these strategic aims of the business.

Angus holds a Law degree (LLB Hons) from Exeter University, a Diploma in Financial Planning, plus Advanced Diploma exams in Pensions and Tax & Trusts. Prior to joining Wise he was a mortgage adviser, and worked in the City for a number of years following University.

Angus is married with two children and enjoys photography, film, reading, walking, running, golf and travel.

David Burrell

David joined Wise in January 2019, having worked in financial services since graduating from University in 2007. Working in a variety of customer focussed and managerial roles, he most recently spent several years providing financial planning and advice to private clients for a retail bank across the Thames Valley area.

David holds the Diploma For Financial Advisers and is studying towards the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning with the view to becoming a Chartered Financial Planner.

He takes great pleasure spending time with his clients, getting to know and understand them, and guiding them through comprehensive financial planning over the long term.

David is married with a young family and enjoys spending his free time outdoors with them, occasionally playing a round of golf when able to do so.

Deborah Dunks

Deborah joined Wise in February 2018 as the Head of Financial Planning. Her main role is to look after our Financial Advisers and lead our Client proposition.

She comes to us with a sustained record of success in the financial services marketplace with an extensive background in customer service and operations. Deborah’s passion lies in ensuring her team deliver an excellent customer experience. She is a professional, agile and experienced leader who excelling at people and risk management in a regulated environment.

Outside of Wise, Deborah enjoys spending time with her family and her 2 Labradors, as well as supporting her local Rugby Club as a volunteer manager of the Club Kit Shop.

Jamal Moche

Jamal joined Wise Investment in 2007 as a client services administrator. Since completing his Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning he has established a successful career here at Wise as a financial planner.

Jamal’s main objective is to help clients achieve their dreams through a detailed assessment of their objectives. Often out visiting clients, his main strength is the natural rapport he builds, and through the establishment of this trust Jamal is able to offer our clients a comprehensive financial planning service.

He is working towards the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning with the view to becoming a Chartered Financial Planner.

Outside of Wise, Jamal enjoys travelling, playing the piano and cycling.

James Payne

James joined Wise Investment in March 2006 as a financial planner. Prior to this James was an investment analyst, but he found he liked to work with people as well as spreadsheets, so moved into financial planning. He now utilises both skill sets, as a financial planner advising our clients on a range of areas, and as a portfolio manager reviewing and selecting the funds we invest in.

James thrives on engaging with clients, ensuring they reach their desired financial objectives. In his capacity as an elected employee ownership trustee, James works collectively with the board to ensure representation of all the employees’ views. As part of the client services executive team, he takes great pleasure and pride in planning and guiding the future direction of Wise Investment.

James graduated from Bournemouth University with a BA (Hons) in Financial Services. He followed this with a post graduate qualification with the Institute of Investment Management and Research to become an Associate of the CFA Society of the UK. Whilst at Wise, he has attained the status of Certified Member of the Personal Finance Society.

With four children, James finds most of his spare time is accounted for on his behalf. When time allows, he enjoys eating out and the occasional night at the theatre.

Joe Cooper

Joe joined Wise Investment in July 2016 bringing with him over 10 years of experience as a financial planner across a broad spectrum of client profiles.

As a financial planner at Wise, Joe helps clients to achieve their goals through a sound initial financial plan backed up with ongoing monitoring and management. He particularly enjoys the variety of people he meets and developing those relationships in order to fully understand a client’s needs.

Joe graduated with a BA (Hons) in Business Studies, holds the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.

With a very young family, Joe finds much of his spare time is spent out on daytrips and away for weekends at the seaside. He hopes to get back into more adventurous pursuits such as mountain biking and trekking once his son and daughter are a little older.

Karen Craig

Karen joined Wise Investment in January 2016. She comes to Wise with twenty years of experience in the financial services industry. Karen works with her clients on all aspects of financial planning, with a particular interest in retirement options.

Karen has benefited from having worked for a large firm of advisers, and several retails banks. She holds the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

Karen spends copious amounts of time training her rescue dog, which is both a work in progress and a labour of love. Spending time with her grown-up children and two small granddaughters consumes most of Karen’s free time but she does fit in some baking, gardening and also a little knitting.

Paraplanning Team

Heidi Sparkes

Heidi joined our Paraplanning team in 2017, having originally joined our Admin team in May 2016. Heidi achieved a Distinction in the Paraplanner Apprenticeship in 2019 and is now working towards her Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. Heidi also holds a degree in Architecture from Coventry University.

Heidi enjoys being involved in all areas of the business, especially client events. She is normally involved in at least one other project alongside her day job. Heidi was elected by her colleagues as one of our Employee Ownership Champions for 2018. Her responsibilities in this role were to develop & maintain partner relationships within the company, and to promote the benefits of Employee Ownership.

Outside of Wise, Heidi enjoys leisure rides with her horse, Molly. She also enjoys visiting places of historical and cultural importance, both in the UK and abroad.

Jo Radcliffe

Jo joined our Admin team back in January 2013. She progressed to the Paraplanning team in 2015, before becoming Head of Paraplanning in 2018.


Jo is passionate about maintaining the high level of service that we offer. She has regular meetings with the other department managers to ensure that processes are being followed, and that our clients are receiving the best possible service. Jo became one of our first Employee Ownership Champions in December 2017, having been elected by her colleagues. This role was developed to help maintain partner relationships within the company, and to promote the benefits of Employee Ownership.


Before joining Wise, Jo worked as a dispatch operator and emergency call handler for the Police. In her spare time Jo is a keen horse rider, and can often be found meandering the bridleways of Oxfordshire with her horse, Alfie. Jo is a voluntary member of the Management Committee that run the Community Shop and Café in her home village of Bledington. She oversees the shop & café social media, and also mentors the shop & café manager.

Justin Roake

Justin joined our Paraplanning team in August 2018, having previously worked in a similar role with a large accountancy firm in Oxford.

Justin enjoys working with our Financial Planners and particularly likes the technical challenges that come with pension and Inheritance Tax planning. A graduate of Keele University, Justin joined the financial services industry in the 1980s. He worked as a Financial Adviser in New South Wales, Australia, between 1993 and 2001.

Justin is now a Chartered Financial Planner, holds the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII).

Justin is a big fan of cryptic crosswords and enjoys a game of chess. He also plays table-tennis in the Oxford league, and founded Witney Table Tennis Club in 2019.

Tom Partridge

Tom joined our Paraplanning team at Wise in May 2017. He achieved a Distinction in the Paraplanner Apprenticeship in 2019, and is now working towards his Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

Tom graduated from the University of Surrey with a BSc (Hons) in Business management. After graduating, Tom worked in business services for Herbert Smith Freehills, at their Melbourne office in Australia.

Outside of work, Tom enjoys playing tennis for his local club, and travelling to great hiking places. He hopes to one day travel to Nepal and climb Everest.

Administration

Andy Humphreys

Andy started at Wise Investment in August 2017, having been in the insurance industry for over 25 years. He enjoys bringing his customer service experience to the job and learning the new role.

Away from work, he is enjoys spending time with friends and family. A keen cyclist he is happy in the saddle of his trusty bike, or on his allotment, where he tries to produce some good quality fruits and veg.

Emma Bodily

Emma started at Wise investment in July 2017, having previously mainly worked in the insurance industry including high net worth for RSA. She is enjoying learning the new role, applying her administrative experience and further developing her skills and knowledge.

Outside of work Emma enjoys planning holidays, travelling to new places and new experiences. Having recently returned from an amazing Canadian road trip fulfilling a lifelong dream to see Orcas and Bears in the wild. She also enjoys spending time with her fiance, friends and family as well as their two adorable cats Luna and Boo and has a passion for animals and wildlife.

Kelly Leech

Kelly joined Wise Investment in August 2018, having previously worked in the Lighting sales industry, for a lighting wholesaler, based in the heart of the Cotswolds.

Having worked in a Customer Service and Administrative background for over a decade, Kelly is keen to apply those skills to her new role and learn as much as she can about the industry. Kelly is looking forward to building relationships with her colleagues and clients to help uphold the ‘Wise way’.

Outside of work Kelly spends weekends with her son and thinking of new things to cook and try, she also enjoys action movies and watching the latest block buster at the cinema when she can.

Kerri Grant

Kerri joined Wise Investment in 2002 as a client services administrator, having previously worked in an administration role in retail.

In her current role as Administration Manager Kerri manages the day to day running of the administration function within the business, supporting the administration team with the daily workflow, training and development of the team, as well as documenting and updating processes.

Kerri thrives on building strong relationships with clients and ensuring that we meet client expectations. Kerri is an elected employee ownership trustee who works collaboratively with the board to represent our employees’ views. Her passion lies in employee engagement which has increased employee commitment and well-being.

Outside of Wise Kerri enjoys spending time with her family. She enjoys the outdoors, has a real interest in wildlife and conservation, particularly marine life and UK wildlife. She also loves to bake!

Michelle Owen

Michelle joined Wise Investment in July 2010, bringing with her nearly a decade of experience in the financial services industry.

Michelle focuses her time on supporting the financial planners and technical analysts in providing our clients with a full financial planning service. Her role incorporates all aspects from processing new business to taking care of clients existing portfolios. She particularly enjoys assisting clients with queries, and helping out other members of the team as required.

Michelle graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a BA in Business and Management.

As a mum to a vivacious toddler Michelle spends much of her free time on the move.

Siobhan Johnson

Siobhan joined Wise Investment in 2004, having previously worked in administration for both private and public sector organisations. She brings a wealth of experience to her role enabling her to support her colleagues in this close knit team to comply with all in-house and FCA regulations.

Although her role can be challenging at times, Siobhan enjoys the variety and spontaneity that you experience on a daily basis.

Siobhan trained at Marlborough Secretarial College in Oxford, completing RSA and City & Guilds secretarial qualifications. She also holds qualifications in IBT 3, and NVQ Level 3 in Administration

Siobhan has a passion for horse riding, having achieved Advanced Level in Affiliated Dressage. She also enjoys gardening, travel and cooking.

Steph Blake

Steph joined Wise Investment in July 2015. She is enjoying learning about the business and has firmly establishing herself within the client services team.

Having a keen eye for detail, she is very well suited to working with figures, with a panache for checking, recording and reconciling transactions. Steph especially enjoys ensuring client records are kept up-to-date, getting a real sense of satisfaction from a job well done. She proactively drives her professional development, recently using her staff training budget to partake in computer based skills course. In the past year she has used her volunteer day to raise money for Katherine House Hospice, a cause very close to her heart.

Outside of Wise, Steph enjoys walking, reading and exploring new places both in this country and abroad.

Operations Team

Chris Kerridge

Chris joined Wise Investment in May 2015 as an administrator, having previously worked for three years with Capita Life & Pensions. Chris brought a strong customer service ethos along with a key eye for detail to Wise.

In March 2018, Chris joined the Operations team. Chris is currently training and will assist with the maintenance of our client databases, capital gains tax analysis, ISA allowances and the sending of valuations, tax packs and income schedules.

Outside of Wise, Chris can be found on the terraces of his hometown football club, Cheltenham Town FC, or enjoying Motorsport. Watching mainly F1 and BTCC, or attempting karting or driving experiences. Chris enjoys the technical side of motorsport, partly because of his BSc in Motorsport Technology from Oxford Brookes. Chris also enjoys music concerts, and exploring different areas of the UK and trips abroad, such as recent trips to Australia and Thailand.

Claire Burrows

Claire joined Wise Investment in April 2010 as a Paraplanner. However, with an eye for the bigger picture, she found her skills better suited to operations. Claire spends her time ensuring the smooth running and development of many of our services. The Operations team is responsible for maintenance of our client databases, capital gains tax analysis, ISA allowances, sending of valuations, tax packs and income schedules.

Claire holds the CISI Diploma in Investment Compliance, CII Diploma in Financial Planning and CII Certificate in Discretionary Investment Management. She is currently working towards the CII Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning.

Claire has worked in the financial services industry since 2002, coming to Wise from the adviser network, Sesame Bankhall Group. Latterly as an investment researcher, Claire spent her time analysing funds, investment trusts, specialist investments and investment bonds.

Outside of Wise, Claire enjoys delighting her friends and family with her cooking, reading, travelling, eating out and indulging on the occasional spa weekend.

Heather Cooper-Harris

Heather joined Wise in 1996 as an administrator. Throughout her twenty years here her role and responsibilities have changed many times, but her focus remains firmly on our customers.

Heather’s passion is to provide clients with the type of service that we would like to receive ourselves, and strongly believes that we should always strive to give our customers the best service possible.

In her current role as Technical Manager, Heather manages the Operations and the Paraplanning teams, and is a senior manager within the company, helping to shape the business, and deliver our services.

Outside of Wise, Heather is long term fan of Formula one, and enjoys walking and holidays. As an animal lover, she sponsors puppies at Dogs for Good and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, a pen at the Cats Protection League, and Zena the donkey at the Donkey Sanctuary in Devon, where she has been a visitor since childhood.

Laura-Jane Higgins

Laura-Jane joined Wise Investment in January 2017 as an Operations Technician having previously worked for a national distribution and outsourcing company and an NHS consultancy firm based in Oxford.

In addition to her extensive administrative and project management experience, Laura-Jane also has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southampton

Laura-Jane focuses her time on maintaining our client databases, capital gains tax analysis, ISA allowances, sending of valuations, tax packs and income schedules.

Outside of Wise, Laura-Jane enjoys spending her weekends doing DIY or gardening with the help of her friends, family and husband and their two cats Rocky and Daisy.

IT

Anne Adams

Chris Rigbye

Chris joined Wise Investment in December 2015 to manage and develop our IT systems.

Chris attained his BSc in Software Engineering from Nottingham Trent and comes to us with 14 years of industry experience. He particularly enjoys developing systems and improving working practices through IT.

As a father to three young boys, Chris’s interests now include, investigating strange insects, adjudicating in an ongoing game of “who had it first?” and answering the question “why?” a lot!

Business Support

Carol Cubitt

Carol joined Wise Investment in April 2017 and is enjoying learning about the business working within the facilities team as a business Assistant and she brings many years’ experience to her role as Receptionist.

Carols time is split between making visitors feel welcome and ensuring everyone has a safe and friendly environment to work in by assisting with Health & Safety, Events and general facilities.

Carol is a big fan of motorsport, mainly of the two-wheeled variety. Her passion is riding out on her own motorbike or walking the many paths and bridleways around the country. In the past she has abseiled and walked to raise money and awareness for Crohns/Cancer research and wants to use her volunteer day this year to raise more.

Lisa Waller

Lisa joined Wise Investment in May 2018. Lisa was previously in the Royal Navy for 6 and a half years; regularly deploying to various different countries around the world. Lisa's time is split between making visitors feel welcome as well as fulfilling the business assistant role. Lisa enjoys spending time with her 2 young children and in her spare time she regularly attends the gym and has a passion for challenging activities such as marathon running and mountain climbing. Lisa likes mayo on her chips.

Investment Management

Natascha Cavers

Natascha joined Wise Investment in April 2018 bringing with her 7 years’ experience in the financial services industry. She is responsible for implementing the asset allocation for Wise Model Portfolios and tending to their continued operation as well as supporting the Investment Management Team.

Natascha has a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol. She holds the CFA UK Level 4 Investment Management Certificate and has passed Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level I. She is an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Robert Blinkhorn

Robert has spent over 20 years in the financial advice and management industry and brings his experience to the portfolio management service at Wise Investments Limited. Working closely with the financial planners, Robert is responsible for structuring asset allocation and selecting appropriate investments for portfolios so that our clients can meet their financial objectives. He achieved the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst in 2006 and is a member of the CFA Institute.

Finance

Beth Johnson

Beth joined Wise Investment in January 2016. She works collaboratively with our chief financial officer Amanda Sullivan to ensure the efficient running of the company finances, carrying out bookkeeping and accounts administration.

Prior to joining Wise, Beth managed a charity in the Cotswolds for five years. She is also a qualified solicitor and holds a BA (Hons) in Linguistics.

Outside Wise, Beth enjoys exploring history’s mysteries, genealogy, and has an eclectic taste in music.

Katie Carnall

Katie joined Wise Investment in November 2017 as Finance Manager. She assists the CFO with preparing financial reports to assist management with strategic decision making. Katie also supports the Finance Assistant with all of the day-to-day finance activities to ensure the smooth working of the company’s finances.

Outside work Katie enjoys going on family holidays, watching movies, socialising with friends and spending time with her young daughter.
